Family of God is a congregation growing in Cape Coral, Florida. We are a young family-oriented ministry with an emphasis on building real relationships and growing deeper in faith while reaching out to our community. If you are looking for something that is a little less traditional in style, but still has strong Biblical Christian values, we may be what you are looking for. Saturday, March 14, from 10am to 2pm, Family of God is hosting our first annual Jobs & Finance Fair. In our original plans for this event, we never realized how much non-profit agencies in our area would be willing to come together to help us make this a success. So far, we are expecting to have Thrivent Financial, Freddie Mac, The City of Cape Coral, Lutheran Social Services, Career and Service Centers of Southwest Florida, High Tech North, AngelFood Ministries (via Christian Life Fellowship), Florida Vocational Rehabilitation, Lee County Department of Human Services, The Fort Myers Housing Authority and the Florida Department of Financial Services, among others. We'll have plenty of information for all of the attendees about avoiding foreclosure, finding work, polishing your resume, family financial planning, starting a business and avoiding fraud. Our goal is that every family in Cape Coral that needs help or is struggling with their finances find help at this event. We'll also be supplying coffee, juice and cookies and we'll have a drawing for a door prize basket to help one lucky family get even closer to financial freedom. Advent Fest

Saturday December 6th from 10:00AM to 1:00 PM Family of God will host an Advent Festival. We noticed at Fall Fest that the most popular thing there was the craft table. So, we thought, what if we did a whole event that was all cool crafts that parents and kids could make together, take home, and have neat stuff for the Christmas Season? This is why we are calling this a "Make-it-and-Take-it" event. You can come and make an Advent wreath, or an Advent calendar, or decorate a Christmas cookie, or any number of other things. What's more, we are a pretty friendly crew here at Family of God, so we thought we would invite other congregations to come and participate and even host a craft table of their own. So come join us Sat. Dec. 6th for loads of fun, and loads of crafts!.......oh yeah, and there will be a chocolate fountain, because what is the Christmas season without candy!

Wow did we have fun at Fall Fest! If you were there you probably went home with lots of candy and toys. One lucky person even scored our iPod Shuffle door prize. With well over a hundred folks attending we are calling it an unqualified success. If you want to see pictures you can go to Pastor's blog, he has the pictures from the event there.

Making Sense instead of Making Cents! Ok, we all know that the financial world is in absolute chaos. For a lot of us that translates directly into our own lives being in chaos. Does God have anything to say about it all? You bet he does. I hope you join us on this 4 week sermon series as we see exactly what God has in mind for your life, and how it may be time to stop making cents and start making sense.

Worship Info

We meet at 1315 Viscaya Pkwy here in Cape Coral Sundays at 10:30 AM. If you like, you can join us at 10:00 AM for coffee and conversation. Also each Sunday the kids are invited to attend our Children's church during the sermon time, that way they get to worship with their parents, the parents still get to have quiet time to listen and think about the sermon, and the kids have fun.
